  well we know the constellations that we watch going overhead at night. Bot
 h novice and experienced astronomers are always surprised by the level of t
 heir knowledge of the night skies. Whilst we know the locations of some of 
 our favourite deep sky objects, we tend not to know the constellations.</p>

 /p><h3>Don Whiteman</h3><p>Don has worked as a telescope technician and bui
 lder for almost 30 years. He has been technical guy at Bintel for last 24 y
 ears answering questions and repairing most thing astronomical.<br />Don sp
 ent some time in mid 90s working as a technician at Celestron in Torrance a
 nd some time in the early 2000s at Meade in technical services.<br />He has
  been and amateur astronomer since his first telescope back in 1965 and bee
 n heavily involved in astronomical societies for many years. <br />A life m
 ember at ASNSW, serving on the board of ASNSW from 1994 to 2016, Don active
 ly spends dark time looking for faint planetary nebulae and small faint fuz
 zy galaxies.<br />He is still a student of the craft.</p><p> </p><p><img sr
