SASPAC Practical Astronomy Course

Week 1 - Getting Acquainted with the Southern Sky

Please rest assured we have taken many steps to keep you safe during your attendence at the 2022 SASPAC course.
This includes:

• Reducing numbers of participants this year.
• Smaller practical workshop group sizes.
• Full contact tracing if necessary, using full addresses and phone numbers. Please supply
• Changes in how we deliver/serve/provide supper & food handling.
• Introducing a controlled movement of participants around the facility- such as where you are to sit & stand, enter and exit.
• The facility: includes the entire observatory dome, roll off roof room, lecture area, kitchen, toilets, observing areas on porches & in the grounds.
• Extra precautions: Hand sanitisers before handling telescopes, eyepieces etc.
• Extra cleaning of surfaces, door handles, toilets etc
• Please respect the COVID19 Safe environment. This course is run by volunteers and members of the SASI society.
• Please respect our space, and requests to use hand sanitiser before handling telescope equipment.
