Donna Burton the Astronomer at Milroy Observatory

Donna Burton is a research astronomer with the University of Southern Qld who has discovered two comets and worked at Siding Spring Observatory for many years.

Donna was recently awarded an OAM in the 2023 Kings Birthday honours for her work in science and particularly astronomy.

She is the principal astronomer and owner of the Milroy Observatory in Coonabarabran NSW where she gives tours and observations of the night sky looking at planets, galaxies, nebulae and star clusters among other amazing night sky wonders.
