Members and guests are invited to attend a group viewing of the Total Lunar Eclipse on the evening of Tuesday 3 March.
This is a very informal event, with no catering or other activities planned.
The observatory will be open with telescopes viewing the Moon.
Members can bring their own telescopes and binoculars for viewing the event from the field. There is no need for filters, and it is safe to view a Lunar Eclipse with any optical instrument without risk of eye injury.
